Real Wedding: R + E
R and E’s wedding day started out with E getting ready at her parents’ house in Fairbanks Alaska, which is next door to where the ceremony and reception will be held. Not to mention right next to her grandmothers as well! While everyone got ready there was laughter, food, and memories being shared.
Once E got ready, we traveled to Creamers Field in Fairbanks to meet R and the groomsmen. We started out with their first look, then the wedding party photos. We snagged a few bride and groom photos before it started raining.
Upon arrival back at the home of her grandmothers, guests started arriving to a beautiful ceremony space.
E walked down the aisle as everyone awed in her beauty. Then came the rain, but it was a beautiful rain. Not a downpour but a slight drizzle and no one complained.
After exchanging their vows and the family portraits, everyone gathered under umbrellas and in the home.
We thought that everything was going to get moved inside, but then the rain stopped. The backyard changed into the reception space that R and E dreamt of, and the party continued.
We slipped away to grab some more bride and groom shots while guests were mingling and dancing.
Before the bride changed into something a little more comfortable, her and her father shared probably the most epic dance of all time. They had spent HOURS perfecting it and when the time came, they did just that. Perfected it! The crowd LOVED it!
Then the dancing began, which included heart shaped glasses, an outfit change, the bride doing some DJing, grandma on the dance floor, and lots of laughter!
Summers in Alaska don’t have much darkness, so they can’t opt for a fan favorite of a sparkler exit. With that being said, they opted for an exit on a red carpet “riding into the sunset” on a tandem bicycle!
